Join us as we begin our journey in the magnificent shadow of what some call the 8th wonder of the modern world, Scotland's most Iconic landmark, The Forth Bridge, a fairy tale of engineering that opened in 1890 and was the largest steel structure of its kind in the world. Our guides will lead you through the old Royal Burgh of Queensferry visiting historic sights as they Inform, Entertain and Captivate you with tales of our famous bridges, ancient rituals, saints and sinners, royal visitors and witchcraft!
Duration of Tour 1hour 30min approx.(20mins walking time)
The tour includes a visit to the Queensferry Museum where visitors are shown artifacts of Queensferry's past and Queensferry Tours have exclusive access to the 15th Century Priory which is the only medieval Carmelite church still in operation in the UK which was built around the same time as Roslyn Chapel. (Visits into the Priory are restricted on wedding days, please check before you book) Every tour ends with a well deserved refreshing drink and a toast to what has come before.
The walk includes some stairs, and at times uneven pavements which may not be suitable for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.
